It is great to get in the water racing again and with this, our season 2016 starts. The main focus this year will be competing in M32 Scandinavian Series – Copenhagen, Göteborg, Stockholm and Helsingfors, as well as in the World Match Racing Tour (WMRT), Copenhagen and Newport, to qualify for Match Cup Sweden in Marstrand.
Our current focus has been on getting the M32 boat ready to race. we are also newly branded with new clothing, a new BMW to tow the M32, new sunglasses from Adidas Sport Eyewear, fresh mouth hygien and hopefully a spot for the boat at Stenungsbaden Yacht Club marina! With all this in progress we hope to be ready for the first race in the Scandinavian Series in May. We are very greatful to our sponsors for supporting the team. Without them we would not be able to compete at the top level.
Ficker Cup 2016 1-3 april (named after Bill Ficker Americas Cup winner 1970)
After 2 days and a double Round Robin, we won the Round Robin and choose to race Mat Jerwood for the semifinals. We started up in a slow mood, losing 3 races in the beginning of the RR, likely due to being a bit jetlaged and arriving late with a delayed flight. Today is the deciding day. Winning the semi final means a spot in the Congressional Cup. Normally we would not have to qualify, but for 2016, only the tour card holders are directly invited and the event is only able to welcome two qualifiers. Also, we need the scores to secure a spot for the finals in Marstrand.

After qualifying, we will race this fantastic event. It will be our first event on the WMRT 2016.
