First regatta of the 2016 season in the World Match Racing Tour is Congressional Cup in Long Beach, California, and the only regatta where the M32 are not going to be sailed. FLUX Team had too qualify to this event by a top two placement in the Flicker Cup regatta, held the week prior to Congressional. The team was off to a rocky start. Having just flied in to LA, the sailors where jetlagged and lost three of their first races. However, they did a great comeback during the remaining two days, beating Jerwood 3-1 in the semifinals and Dickson 2-1 in the final. With a victory in Ficker Cup 2016 they secured a spot in Congressional Cup (WMRT Long Beach).
